Ambassador Adish Mammadov met with Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic

On June 25, 2024, Ambassador Adish Mammadov met with Mr. Jan Bartošek, the Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.

They discussed Czech-Azerbaijani relations, which are based on strategic partnership, and emphasized the importance of expanding interparliamentary relations.

Ambassador A.Mammadov provided information on the ongoing peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, stating that the establishment of a sustainable and lasting peace fully aligns with Azerbaijan's political and economic interests. He also noted that some politicians in the Czech Parliament, either due to lack of information or deliberately, have taken biased positions on the now-historical Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, thereby negatively impacting the peace process. Ambassador expressed hope that such instances would not occur again in the Czech Parliament.
